Sunday 22 April Desensitising and Horse Agility clinic with Sue Gardner at Hollister Farm

This is in hand unless have already done natural horsemanship obstacle courses, horse agility or Le Trec.

Sue Gardner is an accredited coach and trainer for the International Horse Agility Association and has spent many years developing Applied Equine Behaviour courses, which help individuals to think about their relationships with their horses and thus develop greater understanding of the dynamics.
Sue’s philosophy is to aim to gain understanding, trust and confidence, to fully embrace that horses are sentient beings, to achieve a deeper understanding of how they perceive us and the world around them and to develop a communication built on mutual respect.

Horse Agility is a sport that has a focus on developing confidence in horse and rider/handler.

Horse Agility instructors have the ability to train not only over potentially scary obstacles, but also through and in between them. The obstacles have been designed to simulate what can happen when we are leading our horses, training them in an arena, loading or riding out.

In other words - agility training helps you to have a safer and braver horse.

It is suitable for youngsters through to oldies, from minis to shires.
A typical starter session consists of building the course and walking it through with Sue to discuss the different levels and approaches.
