Based in the Surrey Hills, we are a friendly, enthusiastic and sociable club, which welcomes horse lovers of all ages and abilities.
One of our members recently described us as “One big happy family,” which we feel is the ultimate compliment.
Despite all the challenges, NCRC had a busy but extremely enjoyable year in 2020 and managed to hold all our usual dressage, show jumping and showing shows at the club field.
We always welcome new members, encourage all our teams and urge everyone to take part. There is a fantastic team spirit and the emphasis is on fun rather than pressure – and it seems to pay off! The support from the club for anyone wanting to take part in our shows or at team events is fantastic and we always have a brilliant time together, whatever the result. We are well-known in the area as the club that loves to party!
We hope to be able to organise our normal wide range of events this year - if it is safe to do so - including our shows at our club field in Shere, where you will always find a warm welcome.
We aim to offer training for all abilities with inspiring and sympathetic instructors, when possible.
In normal circumstances our social events are always lively, with get-togethers for riders and non-riders alike.
Please see the fixtures page for full details. We offer online entries to make life easier for you.
Follow us on Facebook and keep in touch with the Newlands Corner Riding Club ‘family’.
Chairman of the club, Lesley Selway, said “We are very lucky to have a fantastic hard-working committee and all our members are very friendly and helpful. We try to cater for all levels - from people who are just starting out to members who compete at a high level. We welcome all members and are always willing to hear of any new ideas for our competitions, training or social activities. We hope this is going to be another exciting year so please do come and join us!”
